well, it’s been almost a year and it was time for my annual girl’s trip.  9 girls headed to sin city last weekend….vegas is wrong in so many ways, but when it comes to the food & design it’s particularly interesting. every nook and cranny is carefully thought out and not all with a good design sense, but still interesting to say the least. so, i walked and shot, all that caught my attention.  

most all of my images are from my hotel, the cosmopolitan, recently opened, this hotel was designed by world renowned design firm, the rockwell group. i focused on the details...

Classen curve is a classic in Okc, once the home of old hang outs such as the split-t, where coca cola classic and milk shakes were always on tap, has now been transformed into a modern strip of new restaurants & shops for the hip & trendy. it seems “uptown kids” brought on Elliott + Associates to get their register going…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

sneak preview...dallas art

over the holidays i stopped into dallas to visit my sister and drive up to good ole oklahoma. luckily i had time to visit the museums downtown. It’s sad, if you wave a contemporary museum in front of me i am set for hours….and hours…..

pop!

route 66, just,  got,  interesting! elliott & associates { okc architect } designed “pops”. pops is a filling station, 30 minutes outside oklahoma city on route 66. fact,  oklahoma lacks color. there are no mountains or oceans to spice things up, just miles and miles of flat land… and it’s dry. but I believe it has potential and rand elliott and team took care of the color, providing  10,000 colored pop bottles that lined the interiors walls and an a 65 foot led soda pop bottle to landmark the location.
