This bench design was for an NEWH event where CKY was teamed w/ a local manufacturer, Designtex. We had to take a cheapo chair from IKEA called the IVAR and design a new chair. 70% material Designtex & 30% "other" materials.....we call her "side view" | silhouette of ivar. The materials used were the chair components and 1/4" clear acrylic from the Designtex FUSION collection..... and won 3rd place. well, it's close to 1st.
I love a good tapered angle. So, when CKY was approached to design custom display tables for the What is Modern exhibit, we excitedly did what we do best and added a simple detail to a classic design. These tables are commisioned to the What is Modern exhibit and are currently on display on the Denver Art Museum's second floor. More about the exhibit HERE.

ok, we never actually closed, but have been focusing efforts on our bread and butter,stay tuned for more of cky design, inc's lighter side from day to day.
this fabulous project has been in progress for over a year. in texas fashion the scope of work was “bigger” than we intended, but we managed to keep things in line & in budget. really.
the scope of work consisted of kitchen remodel, addition of new walkway to guesthouse, secondary bathrooms, & new finishes throughout.
